As the Quality Assurance Advisor for Austal Defence Australia (ADA), you’ll be responsible for auditing and conducting project surveillance activities on business processes, products and services and where necessary report, investigate and resolve identified non-conformance.

What’s Involved
- Conduct process audits in accordance with the published audit schedule.
- Conduct surveillance and monitoring activities in accordance with the Project quality assurance surveillance schedule.
- Conduct audits on Subcontractor quality management systems.
- Develop and recommend actions to address identified non-conformance. raised in business non-conformance register
- Conduct audits of records and documentation offered for acceptance during test activities.
- Assist in the maintenance and deployment of QMS documentation
- Monitor and identify systemic trends in Quality performance during issues resolution.
- Conduct quality event root cause investigations â including identifying Opportunities for Improvement.
- Develop and disseminate ‘Lessons Learnt’.
- Prepare risk assessment documentation in line with quality procedures
You’ll Need
- Diploma or recognised equivalency certification in Quality Assurance, Lean Management Engineering or Project Management
- Previous industry experience working in Quality Assurance/Quality Control role
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment with a demonstrated strong desire to work in Quality Assurance
- Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9001, and of working within Quality Management systems as they apply to shipbuilding, defence, oil and gas and or manufacturing (desirable)
- Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance
